If you are interested in criminal or forensic psychology, you will be as excited as I am by the news that International Academy of Investigative Psychology are running several Introductory Offender Profiling Conferences around the country in June and July 2009. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (17th Feb) priced £20. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in Investigative Psychology to find out more about this fascinating subject.

The President of the IA-IP, Professor David Canter, will be the Head Speaker at these events - the conferences are titled 'Offender Profiling and much more...'

Professor Canter's works on this subject feature in several A-Level Psychology Specifications. Professor Cantor is one of the most well known investigative psychologists. Many of you will be aware of his pivotal role in establishing a scientific approach to offender profiling in the UK.

There will be a range of high-profile speakers at the events, covering topics as:  Offender Profiling; Serial Killers; Geographical Profiling (i.e. Jack the Ripper); Stalking (with celebrity examples); Predicting Domestic Violence; 9/11: Studying The Terrorist Aftermath; Offenders' Life Stories and Predicting Domestic Violence.

Last year's events were a huge success, with excellent feedback from students and teachers alike.

The conferences are geared to all A-Level and AS Level students as well as being open to Undergraduates and Postgraduates.

More information can be found at www.IA-IP.org.
